Essay On Animal Testing

testing products on animals is not necessary. In my opinion, if you wouldn't use it on yourself you shouldn't test it on animals. If you're putting stuff in products that you feel the need to test on animals first, then maybe we shouldn't be using those damaging things on ouself. Animals all over the world are being treated wrong and held in captivity for product testing and it's become part of their daily lives to be hurt and even ‘tortured’ with all these different products.

Most companies treat their animals like slaughterhouses, especially in china, where it's ILLEGAL for big companies to sell a beauty product that hasn't been tested on animals. Each year, more than 100 million animals, including mice, rats, frogs, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, monkeys, fish, and birds, are

Johnson, Colgate-Palmolive, Reckitt Benckiser, Church & Dwight, Unilever, and Dial/Henkel. These companies all have poor ethics when it comes to animal testing, and are making no efforts to change their policies and actions.

Some cosmetic and haircare products that animal test, are, Avon, Bobbi Brown, Covergirl, Estée Lauder, Head & Shoulders, L’Oréal, M.A.C. Cosmetics, Mary Kay, Maybelline, Pantene, Revlon, and TRESemmé. You can’t choose when and what you eat, how you will spend your time, whether or not you will have a partner and children, or who that partner will be. You can’t even decide when the lights go on and off. Imagine spending your entire life a prisoner even though no crimes have been done. Animal Research is, has always been, and will most likely continue to be a delicate subject. The use of animals in research ranges from cosmetics to medical and wherever there are animals being tests there are groups of people arguing the morality and ethics of the testing being done. Excluding cosmetics and the like for now (that’s a different argument), the use of animal research in neuroscience is absolutely necessary and though it is a sensitive issue, there are ways to make it more ethically acceptable and to protect the animals themselves from blatant cruelty. Today, animal research is more humane than it has ever been.…

The issues that animals are put through for entertainment, experimentation, food, clothing, and wildlife is horrifying. Animals are enslaved, beaten, electrocuted, strangled, burned, stabbed, and skinned alive to be used for human use and consumption. For the clothing industry, millions of animals are killed by being electrocuted, strangled, and skinned alive. This issue is very important because clothing should be made out of fabrics rather than animal fur. Millions of mice, rats, rabbits, primates, cats, dogs, and other animals are burned, blinded, poisoned, and cut up alive for experimentation.…

Nowadays, more and more people are teaming up against animal testing. Testing cosmetics on animals is a very controversial issue that has grown over the past years. I believe that cosmetic animal testing is wrong and should be banned because it is cruel, inaccurate, not very reliable, and has been proven to be unnecessary. Approximately 200,000 animals will suffer and die every year for cosmetics around the world. We as a whole have all decided that this is not necessary which is why we stopped making testing on animal cosmetics something that had to be done. Companies still continue to do it.…

According to Troy Seidle a pole concluded that, “88 percent of us believe animal testing causes pain and suffering to animals and that such suffering just for cosmetics isn’t worth it, especially when safe ingredients are already available,”(Seidle). Considering that most people don’t feel the need to buy products with newly tested ingredients, why should companies continue to do that it is not an absolutely necessary practice. There are thousands of chemicals out there that have already gone through the process of being tested so it wouldn’t be like companies couldn’t make new products, they could make many. Yes companies want to make money by selling newly improved products but that is not going to make people want to buy products that aren’t apart of their daily use. Gregory Mone states that animal testing is a long and expensive process and can take several years and use up millions of dollars to carry out, (Mone).…

Animal testing has been a part of our society since the early 1900s. And it appears to me, that not until around 40 years ago or so, people began to realize that testing animals was inhumane on many different levels. But because we are the human beings that we are, we still try to shy away from a lot of the negative consequences of animal testing. It is easier for us to push aside that which is bad and try only to look at the positive aspects. Yet, in my opinion, the cons outweigh the pros.…

Animal Testing Paper After decades of animal testing, most cosmetic companies have ruled out the ingredients that don 't benefit their products. With this knowledge, they are able to produce cosmetics with ingredients that are known to be safe for use. Animal testing should not be justified by our enjoyment of cosmetics. The torture and premature death that animals have to endure is inhuman because they have no choice, but cosmetic companies do have the option to take another route to test cosmetics. Other options include paying human volunteers to test the makeup, using the new computer programs that mimics human biology, and using human tissues and cells also known as Vitro Testing.…
