Todays society has changed their values tremendous times since the creation of man. American Myths over time have changed our societies values to many extremes. Such as our society is filled with single nuclear families, also that our education system allows every one to have an equal opportunity to succeed in life, and that success is by definition having things. These standards as huge tolls on our society because we tend to only appreciate them, we need to focus on more important things like building a stronger education for all children and creating a equal nation to accept others in the world. Todays American myths can cause discouraging effects to our nations values. First, our myths can be seen as having damaging impacts on our nation. For example, our education system is not all that it seems out to be, our society believes everyone in our system as a equal opportunity for education. In todays world money is needed to achieve great lengths in education, for example our societies private schools are filled with small sized classrooms with an unlimited amount of support from teachers. Whereas schools in less fortunate areas like Philadelphia have a tough time to find funding to allow their students to achieve the knowledge that is needed to succeed …show more content…
For people to believe can cause many people to try and find love early to achieve todays societies myths. This can cause a negative impact in the future with a weak family love, divorce, or hatred within the family. Our society should no longer value this myth due to discouraging attributes to people that do not follow these values. Many people feel different and can be stressed out when not following this myth. Including the divorce rate in our society and the people who lack the need to have a family our society no longer follow the myth of having and keeping a single nuclear
