- Water colour painting, Contemporary Indigenous Australian Art.

- Mediums used by artists very widely, and rang from tools including paints brushes, pencils and pastels used by traditional artists to instatements, voice and electronics used in the auditory arts.

He born and raised at the Hermannsburg Lutheran Mission, near Alice Spring. He showed interest in art from an early age, but it was not until 1934 (Aged 32), under the tutelage of Rex Battarbee, that he began to paint seriously normally highlighted both the rugged geological features of the land in the background.
