(Proposal) The most significant war in the nation’s history was the American Civil War. The Civil War guided The United States to get better equality and grant the freedom deserved to the African American. The United States began to relieve itself from the long catastrophe of slavery during the four years of the American Civil War. African Americans were very significant in gaining their freedom during The Civil War. The four years during the Civil War were horrific and awful but it needed to happen in order to wake the United States up. It helped present and show the importance and the need for African Americans to be treated as equals and to be treated fairly. They played a huge role to the outcome of the Civil War. The war was really important, because it created the start of the whites and African Americans to team up and fight for the justice and equality, that way the color of someone’s skin does not play a factor to the rights they were given. Even on the Union side, the black soldiers were not always treated equally and it held as a constant reminder of what they were fighting for. The Civil War allowed the separation of African Americans to be disappeared and destroyed. It showed that everyone can work together no matter wat their race, skin color, religion are, to achieve their goal and get what they want and what is better for their country. Working together in this conflict taught them how to share their ideas and strategies, how to work as a team without racism or discriminations, and as a result were better as a whole. At the end, the African American took America as their own country and wanted to be treated equally.
