Nowadays airplanes have become a first choice for people because it is very convenient form of communication. But there is an issue whether to replace allow people to use cellphones on airplanes or do not allow them. In the beginning of this issue few airlines allowed the passengers to use their cellphones during flights. On 30 of August 2006 RYANAIR allowed their passengers to use cellphones in flights (BBC News, 2006). Two years later on 20 of March 2008 Emirates Airlines started operating flights with using cellphones in some commercial flights (BBC News, 2008). The Federal Aviation Administration issued approved to the airlines using electronic devices during flights (FAA, 2013). Like I had mentioned above, the first disadvantage of using cell phones during flight time might interfere with cellular networks on the ground and it could potentially bring down an airplane. Besides, it also can interfere with the instrument. Another disadvantage is if cell phones allowed on plane then people can make calls anytime, it will be noisy, because some people will speak loudly when they are making a phone call. In other hand, people who has 10 hours flight and need to take rest, but suddenly someone started speaking loudly on the phone, it would be an annoying attitude to the passengers. So using a phone on the plane might disturb others, and will increase crew workload (Arora, …show more content…
We have two federations that are against each other, they are (FAA) and (FCC). Even though, using of cell phones will entertain the passengers at the same time this will lead to serious loss of lives and bad consequences. Later news from Federal Communications Commission (FCC,2016) that they has proposed rules which would give airline carriers the ability to allow passengers to use their electronic devices like cell phones, and they can communicate with cellular frequency equipment while flying above10,000 feet, but this rules still not approve yet (FCC, 2016). Based on my opinion, I disagree that passengers use their cell phones during flight. As explained earlier, in order to make sure passengers and flight attendants’ safety and security, we should not allow them to use their cell phones on
