Ever since we have been little our parents have told us about waiting till marriage till being sexually active. However,more than likely they just left it at that and never stressed why. According to www.statisticbrain.org ,only three percent of Americans wait until they are married to become sexually active. This comes to show how we,as a people,need some assistance in learning how to quench our desire. This act of restraining oneself from indulging in something else is called abstinence. Of course,abstinence in sex is the safest and wisest option but as said before;our parents probably at least told us that. Abstinence aside, let's dive deeper into the topic of sexual activity.

The health risks of pregnancy do not just include the child,but also the mother. Many articles and websites stress the importance of understanding the health risks. Luckily,teens can improve chances of being healthy and having a healthy baby by taking good care of herself. This includes:staying active,eating healthy,staying away from risky substances,seeking prenatal care,and taking childbirth
