Essay On A Jazz Concert

Over spring break in Panama City, Florida I attended a concert a jazz Concert. The concert that I attended was a new group the called themselves the J’s I think it was pretty unique because all of their names started with a j. It was held on the beach everyone was having a good time and just chilling on the beach as they played their songs it was a good vibe for everyone that was there. This was my first time that i actually attended a Jazz concert. Therefore, I really didn’t know what to expect from the music because it was way different than any other music that I was familiar to.

The concert was a new experience for me. It was far different from a rap concert that would be held in some big venue. I believe that the purpose of this concert was to give people a taste of the J’s had in store and what they could bring to the table and see how people would react to their music. The background of this concert was strictly Jazz music, no other music was incorporated into it.

I was excited that we decided to go to the beach that day so that I could have attended this concert. It would be the first time I was going to a Jazz concert. I thought that I would be disappointed or get bored of listening to their music. The kind of music that they had played was not the kind that makes you doze off and fall asleep. The boys seemed to be well organized time wise and convenient wise. They didn't charge anyone to listen to their songs, this was all for free, I enjoyed myself listening to them play. Jazz music has became one of my favorite types of music since I heard them play.With jazz, because of its improvisational characteristics, the boys were communicating the emotion of the moment.
