The 1st amendment, Freedom of speech allows Americans to say whatever they want whenever they want with safety limitations. Some people believe Freedom of speech is the most important right in the Bill of Rights. While others argue that Freedom of speech affects America more negatively then positive. The 1st amendment, Freedom of Speech is the most important amendment to the Bill of Rights because it causes change to occur for the better good, it allows Americans to express their opinion freely and to higher authorities, and it also creates new ideas from Americans with less power. First off, Freedom of speech is important because it allows change to occur. “Rachael Jolley, believes that free speech is crucial for change. This article explains just how much we need the freedom of speech in order to change because, it tells us how Americans step up and made a change.
