Nursing school takes a lot of time and effort. Due to all this time and effort that must be put into studying, it is very difficult to work as much as I would like. I work as much as my time schedule allows, but it is still not enough to afford the cost of school. This requires me to takes out loans to pay for my schooling. Not only will I have to pay back the amount of the loan I took out, but also all the interest that has accrued over the years. This scholarship would help take some of this weight off my shoulders. It would create financial stability by lowering the amount of loans I need to take out or hours I need to stress about working in order to pay for school.
I have always had a high interest in helping other people. At a younger age, I was uncertain of what career to pursue, seeing there are so many career options that in helping people. I watched my grandparents suffer from severe illnesses. From gall stones, to open heart surgery, to cancer, to

These activities include Cross Country, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field, and Students Nurses Association (SNA). SNA meets once a week. We participate in activities throughout the community, invite guest speakers in to share their journey through nursing, and practices skills with future nursing students in the nursing lab. I put in approximately 20 hours of practice a week for my sports along with traveling to a competition the majority of the weekends.
