I proudly declared that I would be entering a premedical program and hoped to attend medical school. I’ve seen firsthand in friends and family the effects of anxiety, depression, suicide, addiction, and alcoholism. Ailments like these cannot be remedied physically, no cast or a few quick stitches can even begin to mend the immense amount of damage inflicted by mental illness and disorder.
