When I investigate a university, I am looking for a place that I can determine as a home away from home, since I will be studying residentially for the duration of my attendance. What I search for is a place with excellent academic facilities that are available for student use since I will be devoting majority of my time to my studies. I am also looking for a friendly, comfortable community to spend time in. Baylor exceeds these expectations by providing comfortable residence halls for first year students as well as providing a welcoming atmosphere comprised of student led activities, and recreation centers that allow students to become involved in the community. I especially appreciate the Living-Learning Centers which allow students to take advantage of not only the academic programs offered, but it also allows them to become more engaged in their community. I would very much like to become apart of that

TCU is great fit for me because it is a smaller university. I like how TCU has less than 9,000 undergraduates and has a 13 to 1 student to faculty ratio. This means students will get more individual attention. The city of Fort Worth seems to be a great college town and TCU has great school spirit, which both work well together to offer a great college experience. TCU is a great fit for me because it has an encouraging learning environment that will allow me to excel in my studies and grow as a…

As someone who is not originally from Texas there were many factors that went into my decision to attend the University of Houston-Downtown. I first heard about UHD from my sister who had nothing but good things to say about the university, then I was reigned in by Dr. Mari Nicholson of the university Honors Program. As the end of high school approached I knew that making the move from Louisiana to Texas to attend UHD would not be a mistake. Growing up I always looked up to the ambassadors at each level of education because to me they always represented the cream of the crop. If someone wanted to know something the ambassadors were the ones they went to.…

All of these establishments have set out to develop strong nursing leaders that use evidenced-based research to promote health, and improve the quality and safety of care but Grand Canyon University looks to additionally develop leaders with Christian values. These Christian values are some of the same qualities we look for in nurses. Qualities such as; empathy compassion and respect for others.
