Zeus married Leto to annoy Hera his main wife.During their marriage Leto gave birth to Apollo and Artemis,twins. Apollo was the god of unmarried men, music. prophecy and truth, sun and light, healing, plague poetry, and more. Artemis is the god of chastity, virginity, the hunt ,the moon, and the natural environment. They both had god like strength ever since they were 4 days old. But even though they disapproved of each other Apollo still protects her and her followers virginity while Artemis would avenge her brother is anyone dared to insult him,one reason is because she was the only one that could pick on him….they’re siblings after all.
The siblings did not enjoy spending unnecessary time together so they never really bonded over anything,excluding one thing. Apollo and Artemis were very overprotective of their mother so if anyone insulted her they would avenge for her mother. They first started this bonding activity while they were at party in honor of Leto. Niobe,a mother of 14 children, 7 daughters and 7 sons, had been at this party of Leto’s and saw that all the guests praised Leto for her two children. Niobe grow jealous for she had 14 children and Leto has only bored two.Niobe insulted Leto in front of everyone at the party by speaking what was on her mind. Leto, being the kind and thoughtful person she was paid no mind and enjoyed the rest of the party in her honor,but her children on the other hand would not stand for this and vowed to get revenge for their mother sake before the sun fully raised again.
