Pill testing can be implemented by setting up tents on festival grounds which provide numerous pill testing machines inside. This can greatly benefit festival security because it eliminates their responsibility of investigating attendees in distress thus allowing them to continue doing their job of maintaining order.
I believe this idea is better than existing solutions because:
1. It provides an organization that’s sole purpose is to find music festival attendees in distress, allowing security or police to focus on maintaining order.
2. It reassures attendees who seek aid to confront them knowing they will not be prosecuted compared to if they confronted police regarding drug overdose. The individual might not report their friend/s overdosing through fear of being arrested resulting in the victim having a greater chance of death.
3. Provides appropriate tools to handle cases of drug overdosing such as water, first aid, CPR, and transport (Thump.
