OPTION 1: If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one quality or ability, what would it be and why would you want it?

OPTION 2: What do you consider to be your greatest achievement so far? Explain this achievement and why it's important to you. (Word Limit: 300 words)

I consider being able to rebuild my confidence in high school after going through a difficult time in elementary school to be my greatest achievement. Growing up, I was an introverted child who never put herself out there. My introverted personality did not present itself to be a major problem until I reached the intermediate grades in elementary school.

I learned that this organization was a student- led group dedicated to improving school unity, which appealed to me as I wanted to make a positive impact in the school.

I decided to apply to be a part of the junior management team. I was accepted for the role of Daily Manager where I would oversee and manage the school store. In my newfound position, I learned the importance of teamwork as every position in the team had a vital role to play in the organization. I also took on extra initiatives that pushed me outside of my comfort zone which allowed me to go above and beyond the duties of my position.

I was recognized for my hard work and dedication by being promoted to the position of Director of Communications. In this role, I was in charge of ensuring that communication flowed effectively throughout the entire management team. Also, I was in charge of facilitating team meetings to ensure that everyone completed their action items. As a senior manager, I got to develop my communication skills as I had to work with a number of people with different personalities. Naturally being an introvert, it was initially not easy to manage a large group of people, but as things progressed, I became more confident in my abilities to be a leader.
