Good writing to me is a way to express your thoughts and statements in a easy way to read and share with others. Some things to make a piece of writing good would be excellent punctuation for one. Punctuation adds expression and organization. Also you need good vocabulary choices, a variety of words will pull someone into your paper. Last but not least you need to provide just the right amount of information, the more the better. You know you have written a good paper when, you read it and you don’t realize you wrote this. If you love to read it yourself and are proud of it, that usually results in a good paper grade.

I am taking this class, because my mother forced me too. She told me I needed an advanced english class on my high school transcript for more brownie points come college time. I also know that I need serious help with my writing skills, and understanding correct punctuation and word format. I also took this class because I didn’t want to take both College Prep I and II. Writing will be in life definitely in the short term in the result that I have two more years of high school. It will also be in my future for one of my two possible careers. I would love to learn writing skills I can take with me for the rest of my life. I also expect to be writing like a pro when this class ends. My expectations as a writer are high. I have a little time to make a big transformation. I also expect to not procrastinate or I feel like this class will not end up the way I want it too. I also expect myself to pass this class with at least a B. My role in this class is to be a hardworking, and positive student. My role is also to listen and learn to make my writing skills blossom. I expect the role of the teacher to be an influence, and a great leader in the writing class. I also expect both the teacher and myself to work together to make the class and myself better
