As a person, you're constantly intaking and perceiving all the things that surround us; you start to learn and understand certain things you maybe didn't before. As well as attaining idiosyncrasies or certain aspects that make you, you. Everything that I've experienced has shaped me to be the person I am now, who I am utterly proud of. I've had to overcome various obstacles that have tried to hold me back, but I never allowed them to negatively affect me or hinder my growth. Of course, there might have been some crying, screaming, or stressing out, but the important thing was that I never allowed myself to give up because I knew it would all get done somehow if I persevered. Throughout my years, I have developed different points of perception …show more content…
It just means I have to work harder and I will. Currently, I am taking steps towards my career by taking a pharmacy technician program at Mcallen High School to soon be a pharmacy technician. I see this as a stepping stone to my career because it will help me acquire a stable job throughout college, as well as aiding me with useful information when I attend medical school. As part of this program, I decided to join a club associated with it called HOSA, Health Occupations Students of America. This club allows for multiple access to community service as well as offering the opportunity to compete in various competitive events that go all the way to regionals. I've decided to compete in two events because one of the events I will be taking part in allows me to compete in another event. I'm looking forward to that and hopefully advancing the most I can in that event. My main goal this year is to put all of my efforts into finishing off this year strong and passing both tests required to become a pharmacy technician. My goal in the long run though is to attend UTRGV's pre-med program to better prepare me for the medical school that I will attend, which I'm hoping for will be Baylor's College of Medicine which is also associated with the pre-med program at UTRGV. So in the long run, I'm looking at about 8 years of college and maybe a little more if I decide to specialize in anything further. It's something I'm anxiously anticipating and can't wait to start my journey in order to fulfill my life

The occupation that I decided to use for the Domestic Associates Project is a Pharmacist. I chose this career option because I think it would be a good fit for me. The general task of a Pharmacist includes analyzing and assessing a patient's condition to choose the best prescription and treatment options for a patient. I think I would like this job because it requires close personal care for a patient, in depth logical thinking, and an understanding of the how chemicals react with each other and the human body. Fortunately all of these tasks fit what I am looking for in an occupation or are something I think I could do well.…

As I sat anxiously in my desk the last day of high school, I felt compelled and overwhelmed to decide what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I knew I wanted to pursue a career in healthcare because of my mother, who was a registered nurse. Witnessing the love and care my mother had for every patient even when she was not on the clock really inspired the drive for me to impact the lives of others just as I saw her do. Although after I shadowed one of my mother’s colleagues, I knew I could not handle the gory aspects that are associated with most healthcare professions; however, this shadowing experience led me to discover my initial desire to help others and make a difference.
