In fact, I wrote a speech about overcoming adversity based off true events from Hurricane Katrina. Though, I aimed for realism within my speech. Nonetheless, I incorporated a true story, regarding a high school basketball team in New Orleans, Louisiana. I contacted coach, Al Collins, played by Forest Whitaker, in the movie, Hurricane Season, based on a true story in regards to Hurricane Katrina. I emailed the coach, and proceeded with numerous questions, which he willingly answered. Nevertheless, the story of this high school team and the tragedies these players faced, opened my eyes to the reality of our world today. As much as I strongly dislike Kayla, if it were not for her hatred, I would not be where I am today. It was through her words, where I was able to find my light and reach points I never thought I could reach.
