When choosing a college, some people think about religion. There are schools that are and are not religious. For Christians that want to go to a Christian school, Colorado Christian University is a wonderful choice. It is a private school, so it will cost a little bit more, but it’s well worth it. CCU is just like any other college out there. The only difference is that they have “a vision, mission and purpose governed by our biblical foundation and our Constitution”. Most people think that when a school has to deal with religion, all their majors have to deal with religion, which is not true. They have accounting, psychology, journalism. There are all types of degrees that won’t have anything to deal with religion. But maybe a school on religion isn’t a good option. Maybe there are non-religious schools that would be better. One school that comes to mind is Chapman University. They used to be a religious school but now they have changed to a non-religious school. There are two options that parents struggle hearing sometimes. And that is Military. You can either enlist or go to a college. United States Coast Guard Academy is a wonderful school in New London, Connecticut. At this school, “you will be leading a team of men and women who are continually called on to serve their community, country and fellow citizens”. Some people just skip that option and go straight into the military. An amazing reason to choose this option is the love for your country. Yes, after the military they will help pay for college but that’s not the only reason someone would want to enlist. And sometimes that’s the only thing people do. They join the military then come home and start a family. College is not for everyone. Some people go straight into the workforce after high school. But not a lot of people even finish high school and go straight into the workforce. But it’s hard to get anywhere with flipping burgers at Burger King.
