My life has been a total roller coaster for a little more than two years. I cannot pretend and act like this is where I want to be or planned to be a few months ago. At times I have felt like I was on top of the world, then some moments seemed like I could not fall any lower. The low moments tend to last longer and be more recurrent. I am not happy with where I am, but I am happy with the way I have handled myself in these tough times. I feel like I deserve better and should be where I need to be. I am very hard on myself when it comes to life and the goals I have. Only a few people close to me know my actual goals in life. That’s the essence of it.” This very quote by Vince Lombardi has gotten me through much in my life and has made me realize that even when I am at my lowest I can still come out on top. My work ethic is something I always receive a high praise for. As well as my grit, or that chip on my shoulder that I carry. I can credit that to the way I was brought up and to the people that I grew up with. When growing up, I somehow found joy in achievement. No matter what it was, I found joy in gain something, whether it was winning things at chuck e cheese or winning the fights I got into. To this day I would say I still have the same mindset. There is just something about getting something you have always desired. That may be the force that keeps me fighting through every obstacle, the grit to know that I can gain something out of this tough situation. I am true believer in the phrase “Everything is either a blessing or a lesson.” Including people that come into my life. I feel as though they are either there to stay and bless your life or there to teach you a lesson then you both part ways. To go more in depth on that every lesson is honestly a blessing in disguise.
