The interaction between a pharmacist and their patients is very important in developing a trusting and long lasting relationship. Some of the personal characteristics a pharmacist must have include being compassionate towards others, having integrity, and more. I regard myself as having these personal attributes that will make me a great pharmacist. The lessons and experiences I learned in my personal, academic, and work life all contributed to the molding of my personal characteristics.

The choices I made in my personal life dictates the person that I am. I am a responsible individual when it comes to myself, towards other people, and my commitments. For example, I always make sure to attend classes, go to work, and go to research lab on

However, I did not let the mistakes consume me and learned from my mistakes. For example when I first started working as a pharmacy technician, I made the mistake of giving the wrong prescription. However, I took the initiative to own to my mistake when it was brought up to me. Since then, I have not made the same mistake again. I make sure to always verify each and every single patient that comes and pick up their medication to make sure they get the correct medication. Leadership skill is very important when it comes to being a pharmacist since the pharmacist must be able to supervise the technicians and assistants. They must be also to solve problems on their feet and handle stress well. My experience at the pharmacy has enabled me to do so. Since I am the first person that comes in contact with the patient then they come to the pharmacy, I have to interact and solve their problems if needed. If there is a problem with the patient’s medication, I will solve the problem on my own if I can so that I do not have to bother the pharmacist for help. Working in the pharmacy enables me to handles stress really well since there is always constant work, prescriptions to fill, and patients that come into the
