Not only that, but I also surprised my parents, who firmly believed that I was a liberal arts student given that they had both majored in literature and language and my dad having failed physics in university, when I received a subject award for Science 10. In grade 11, my plans for the future became clearer and more specific, impelling me to work harder. I had become one of those kids whom I could never sympathize with (the kids who get disappointed for losing a mark on a test) or according to many of my friends, “turned into a total nerd,” a “tryhard.” Now, I am a stronger math student and a passionate economics student, who looks forward to university and future
