Gender wage gap is a widely debated topic in modern day society that discusses if females earn less than males. The truth about the wage gap is that it is just the average earnings of females versus males. It does not factor in occupation, work hours, education level, or age. It cdoes not factor in how males in the 1970s tended to have a higher education than females because of social expectancy which causes higher wages for those males. It does not factor in how females are usually the ones to take care of children. Nor does it factor in how males are the ones who start more businesses. As such, the gender wage gap is falsely misunderstood and thrown around to claim that females are thought of as less in society.

But that is due to how both genders go for different jobs, which is not accurate at all in terms of a specific job. There are specific jobs where males earn more than women, and others where women earn more than males. For males, that could be as simple as being waiters, and for females, as simple as being models. That is why the gender wage gap that is so widely discussed about when referred to how females are not equal to males, is actually not accurate information to go by.
