The Events That Changed My Life

Reasons Growing up there were many events, which made me the person I am today. Nevertheless, there was one which really made all these changes possible. This event was actually an agreement made by my parents, changing my life forever. The agreement consisted of a divorce between my parents thus, leaving our family to share custody of my brother and me. This changed everything. We went from living in the city, to living on a ranch with my mother’s new husband, Sergio . He showed me how to do most of the stuff I love to do now like play football and hunt. He has been a big influence in my life by pushing me to bigger and brighter things. When he first put me in football, I hated it. He saw something in me that no one else did. I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it wasn’t for my mom, step dad, and best friend.
However, my mom was the biggest influence in my life. After the divorce, it was just my mother Nancy, my brother Josh and me. My mom would have to work all the time to support the family. My mom not being able to leave me at home, would

Then Sergio introduced me as his new finance’s son. who would have known that was the begging of the greatest friendship of my life. Post to all of this we became great friends and he would come to my house where we’d shoot air soft guns at cars for the fun. He has been the biggest contribution to my life. The reason I say that is because he pushed me to be better in everything. For example, we would often compete on who was a better football player and that competiveness was what drove me to be better. We were always good friends but our high school years together brought us even closer . We became the perfect dueo as partners in crime and have been through some pretty funny times. There have been many events in my life, but the most pivotal has been the time I almost died. Many events stick with us through different areas of memory. My memory of November 22, 2003 is a crisp, cool Saturday morning at my aunt's small house. One moment my barely-taller-than-three-feet frame was just ambling through the door to the garage with my crazy family immediately behind me and the next I was on the cool hard concrete staring up at the dirty and dank ceiling of the garage, unaware of what had just happened to me in no more than two seconds. I can recall being so scared that I felt like I could not breathe.…

If my mom and dad would have never split up, my mom never would have met my step dad, who showed me that a man could love and care for a child as his own even if they aren’t blood. He spent time with me, bought me nice clothes and toys, and basically spoiled me my entire childhood. He always believed in me, and pushed me beyond my limits, because he saw potential in me. I do not think any less of him because he isn 't my real dad.
