As a child, one of the most important questions that is asked is, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” My response is a little bit stumbling, but it’s very concise, “I want to be an Underwriter, that is majoring in Risk Management and Insurance.” This has always been something that I wanted to set my goal as, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison has a great Risk Management and Insurance degree program that can help me reach my goal. They have over 4,700 academic courses, which actually surprises me because I have a variety of different opportunities that I can choose from. In addition, Madison is known for having excellent athletic teams, which is very impressive, and excludes other colleges. These opportunities will be astonishing, participating in volleyball, student council organizations, internship programs, study abroad opportunities, and so much more that it's unbelievable. But my high school experiences have already prepared me to overperform academically and socially. Through Advanced Placement classes, mastering the concepts critically and performing strongly in a college class environment already as a freshmen through junior year. I have succeeded in not only in a college class, but in leadership through extracurricular activities. I have participated in leadership positions, being the national honor society president, and also the student vice president. In addition, I have performed strongly in track and athletic teams that require attention and consideration. All of these things have prepared me for UW Madison, coming from a talented and gifted high school that is aimed at college preparation.
