The voice of my teacher saying, “Kayla Kayla what are you doing over the break” interrupted my thoughts. As I started to form the words to say, the bell went “Ring Ring”. It was Christmas break and my mom and I were heading to New York City. This year for Christmas to wanted to do something a little different because I seen bunch of my friends go away for Christmas so I decided that this year I would ask my mother can we spend Christmas in New York. We just got in the Big Apple and my mom was parking in the parking garage, and then we started walking to the Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel. I responded back, so wherever were going you have to make reservations; are we going to a fancy restaurant. My mother answered, “Kayla I’m leaving you” and bang the door shut. I went running out the door saying, No don’t leave me”. As we walked out the lobby and proceeded down the street pass West 45th street and West 35th street. I saw it in its flashing bright yellow and purple lights it read Aladdin, I was so speechless and stunned when I saw it that I couldn't even hear all the noise and ruckus surrounding me and all I could do was hug my mom tightly. We got up to the door and the ticket person checked our tickets and escorted us to our seats which were located right by the orchestra and said, “enjoy the show”. As the lights became dim they made an public service announcement and shorty after the show started. When the actors starting singing my favorite sing “A Whole New World”, all I could do is blurt singing “A whole new world a new fantastic point of view”... I could feel my mother's lazer eyes burning right through my body.. Then they turned back on the lights and it was intermission so my mother and I decided to get a little …show more content…
I just rolled my eyes and just proceeded to to our seats. When the show ended we went outside to the backstage door waiting for the actors to come out so that we can take pictures with them and we could get them to sign our playbooks. After we meet the actors we meet up with some of our family to go out to eat at the notorious Black Tap. The restaurant was so tiny looked like a little whole in the wall compared to all the other restaurants and stores surrounding the restaurant. Since the restaurant was so small it was very intimate and a really nice way to spend Christmas Eve, the waitress sang Christmas Carols with us all night long. After we finished our dinner we decided to order their famous Milkshakes that had toppings all around the glass. We all got different flavors they varied from Sweet N’ Salty, Cotton Candy, Cookie Shake, and Sour Power. After we left the restaurant we went ice skating, and after I fell we decided that it was getting late and we should go back to the hotel. The next day it was Christmas and I got everything that was on my list, and did everything that I wanted to do that day and that’s why this was an spectacular Christmas that I would never
