By the time I got to middle school, is when I began to find out that there were some people who believed the white race is superior to the rest and should not mix with any other races, and I also learned that many African-Americans grew up in a home that taught them that all whites were racist, being the other half of my ethnicity. My parents, obviously viewing all races as equal, raised me to look deeper than a persons skin tone and intermingle with those who have admirable characteristics, in which I did and had friends and bestfriends of all races. Being in middle school, I loved inviting all of my friends to come stay the night, regardless if they were black, white or hispanic, my parents always welcomed them over. Needless to say, I grew up in a small town where there were some country folks who have stuck to their southern ways, and although there children were not racist, their parents still connected negative connotations with races outside of whites. I came across a few friends every once in a while who would say " my parents said I can't come over, because they don't like that your dad is
