American History: Our hope for the future
On July 4th, 1776, our great nation was founded. So for the past 241 years we have addition after addition to better America. Whether this is the addition of states, laws, economic growth or even the addition of us coming together as one nation, we always strive to do our best to show the world that we are the greatest country on the planet. Now we have had a couple of down times in our history, but after those down times finished we have had positives come from those. So for the people that think we are in a downtime and nothing good can come out of it, pick up a history book and do some research online. We are the United States of America and we can take a hit without going down.
In the past couple of years, our country has been split into smaller pieces because of politics and beliefs. It looks like nothing good can come from this, but before we start thinking negative let's take a look at our past and talk about a similar event. This event is the Civil war. A downside of this is that it was still a war fought between ourselves. This does not need to happen again to get the same point today that we were trying to address back then. The thing we need to do most is listen to each other and look at their perspective and views on things. We don’t have to agree with them all the time,but we do need to respect other people's views and beliefs. To become one nation again we might have to accept that maybe we are wrong or maybe we are just thinking about ourselves and not others. We might have to give in to some of our wants individually and think what is good for our country. So after this mess is cleared up I will be excited to see what positives come from this and what improvements it has made for our
