In the political cartoons, the “path” they followed to try to achieve the American Dream was starting to crumble under the feet of most immigrants. They followed others on their quest for the dream, but they started to realize that others were getting nervous that most of their fellow immigrants weren’t able to achieve that dream. Another reason that dream was hard was because of the larger goals that they wanted. After getting so far in life they wanted have a wonderful house with a car and a family. The Natives hard many hardships they had to deal with because of the immigration and massive expansion westward for the different reasons. Some being gold and silver, for land, for jobs, and in general for money. In the document, Have you heard about America?, natives are moved away. “Then they want to build a road through where you live” and “They want to build a railroad through where they moved you to”, this describes the idea about how the Americans/Settler wanted to expand their land for more territory. So life wasn’t just hard for the immigrants, it was also very troublesome for the Native Americans
