After working in a classroom for 10 hours, I have accumulated knowledge about teaching ESOL students. There were many challenging aspects in teaching ESOL student, according the the teacher, “One of the greatest challenges, is trying to get them to understand the assignment at hand.” I was able to observe at Glendale Christian School in Vero Beach, Florida. I was observing a 1st grade classroom and there was one student who was considered ESOL. This student was very new to the school, he was from Puerto Rico and was very eager to learn. He and I started to become very close throughout my time their.
