An ENFP team and the challenges we faced
Extroverted, Nurturing, Feeling, and Perceiving (ENFP) personality types can be described as individuals who are energized through interaction with people and stimulated by their external environment. Their needs and values center around creating harmony, relying on intuition for decision making, and search for a unique identity; some articles have referred to the ENFP as an idealists or free spirited individual. (Wikipedia, 2015) Based on the results from the questionnaire participants are assigned a personality type. My personality type is compromised of the following Extrovert, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging (ESFJ). The characteristics of an ESFJ are they are stimulated by interaction with people and the environment around them. ESFJs want to create harmony and treat others as unique; they prefer real, tangible information; and require structure, organization and are energized by task completion. Individuals that are ESFJs take their roles in team’s very serious and enjoy being the person the group can depend on to get the work done. Outside of my personality type our group consisted of an ESFJ, ENFP, and two ENTPs. Taking into account each individual personality and the frequency each trait appeared with the more frequent trait being highlighted as the dominant trait our combined team personality type would be ENFP.
