Evaluation When performing the experiment, the pill bugs were generally unresponsive, and many stayed in the same place throughout the whole experiment. Outside of this, no major problems occurred while performing the experiment. If the experiment were to be performed again, more of the IV (baking soda, rubbing alcohol, etc.) would be added to produce a more pronounced effect on the pill bugs, as most pillbugs did not move at all. The results are mostly trustworthy and accurate, as the data is backed up by the research done prior to the experiment. Conversely, more trials could have been performed as experiments with living organisms tend to need a larger sample size.…

The trials were used to show how soap can change the droplets that could be held on the penny. The results of the trial helped me see what happened when I added soap to the water. It tells me whether my hypothesis was correct when I tested it and whether the results can prove my point. After analyzing the data, my hypothesis was correct. I was able to see a trend that the penny was able to hold 40+ droplets of tap water each time, but there were some exceptions, while the penny was able to hold 10+ drops each time.…

My observation will be on the behavior of kids interacting with other kids at the Boone’s playground. I will observe kids around 1pm on Monday. My hypothesis of my observation is that 65% of girls will interact with each other in the playground while only 35% of boys will interact at the Boone’s playground. I came up with this hypothesis because girls usually just sit around and just talk at the playground more than boys and the boys play sports than the girls. I chose this particular setting because of it is was my elementary/middle school and there are a lot of children so it is easier to observe them.…

Based on his study, what would you conclude about the impact of social structure on social interaction? That even if we are normally one thing we are willing to behave/conform to what we think society is telling us we have to be. We are willing to assimilate within the group or surroundings (based on which side you’re viewing) due to what we perceive our position to be and assume the associated roles/norms that go with it. And sometimes just to maintain our own sanity.…

My topic, which has to do with distinguishing features in composite faces, has been tested in a different situation, with varied results. It started in the 1800s when Sir Francis Dalton projected images over each other to find averages of groups like criminals, soldiers, or those with diseases, and showed them to his colleagues. They all concluded that the composite faces were more attractive than the originals. Another study done on the same aspect was done in the 90s that asked volunteers to rate attractiveness of 60 women, then of their composite face. They rated the face as more attractive than the others.…
