Ernest Hemingway's Suicide

Decent Essays
Even though Ernest Hemingway’s life was a good life, there is evidence of him having hemochromatosis, suicidal thoughts, and depression, his death was what looked to be an accidental death because he was cleaning his shotgun and ended up accidentally shooting himself. However, after more investigation a popular theory is that he was suffering from hemochromatosis and killed himself. Hemochromatosis is a disease where the effect are that the victim will get depressed and eventually start having suicidal thoughts. They generally will show signs of anxiety, depressed feelings, and other similar symptoms.
Even though there was no evidence of foul play or suicidal actions, Hemingway’s death was viewed as a possible suicide rather than an accident.
