This means that it was very small, like the village in the “Old Man and the Sea.” Ernest Hemingway loved the Park Garden Cafe, sitting in his favorite spot everyday (Palin, 1). He probably felt like this town took care of each other since it was so small. Hemingway loved this cafe probably because it took care of him like the cafe in the ‘“Old Man and the Sea” took care of the old man.
