Erik Erikson developed the 8 successive stages of psychological development which, takes place during the period when you are born to the moment you are deceased. Erikson believed that each stage of life that you transition to would have its own psychological task. There are many tasks that I have completed in my lifespan, however as of today I am 20 years old and somewhat have developed a single identity. With that being said I find today I am facing the challenge of Intimacy versus isolation. Intimacy versus isolation is young adults such as myself, gain the ability to commit to long-term relationships.
