TANGERINE DIORAMA
THE ERIK FISHER FOOTBALL
Maryem Bouatlaoui 6A For my diorama project, I used the scene where Erik Fisher, the antagonist, flips over, thinking that he was going to make a field goal. It turns out, Antoine Thomas, the protagonist, took the ball and made a two-point conversion instead. I believe that this was the scene that foreshadowed the Erik Fisher Football Dream's upcoming failure. To make this project, I used LEGOS, cardboard, and cotton balls. I used the LEGOS as a grass base for the football field (setting). The card board was used to make my football players (characters). The cotton balls were used to make the black clouds that Paul Fisher described on page 125. I also used a large amount of paint to cover up the

Erik is losing a lot of his popularity and this could affect his football reputation. I chose unusual protagonists because got into deeper thoughts. I thought that Antoine was the protagonist. I say this because he probably had a sense to save his team from a tie to at least a one point lead. On page 127, ''He took off running around the right side and crossed the goal line, untouched, for a two-point conversion. Seagulls 8-7.'' Antoine made the Seagulls win instead of a tie. I feel that Erik is the antagonist. Erik actually embarrassed his team instead of doing anything special. On page 128, it says, ''When the anchorman came back on, he was cracking up. So were the other news people. The credits started rolling, and they started saying stuff like, ''Does that school have a diving team?'' and '' I hear those mud baths are good for wrinkles.'' The anchors ere making fun of him. What I also disliked was the Dad's attitude. He just follow's his oldest son's dreams blindly. On page 127, it says, ''Mom thought for a minute. ' So Erik did something that helped win the game.' 'Most definitely,' Dad said. 'It's not something that shows up in the stats in the newspaper. It's not something people will remember. But it helped win the game.' '' Overall, I really liked working on this project and seeing how it would turn out in the

"Wanted" is basically from a comic book that has limited series written by Mark Miller and J.G Jones, it is about an amoral protagonist (Wesley Gibson) who is discovered as the heir of super assassin. Russian director, Timur Bekmambetov, he is the cream of the crop, he turns this comic into a movie that make the viewers not sit still and make their adrenaline and cortisone levels spike with the actions. Bekmambetov used the similar style of shots and angles with his previous movie, Night watch. It's more to wide angle (long shot), so we can see the terrifying background like one of the scenes in the torture room, where Wes has been beaten up by the butcher. Not even that, there are many special effects that Bekmambetov applies in this movie, like slow-motion with sound effects that certainly provides that "ouch" reaction from audiences.…

Mental illness is in a lot of the movies I have watched, to narrow down the interpretations is a challenge. Movies depict mental illness as a drama in most ways, it is painful, dark, and sad. Mental illness is hard to predict and a challenge to heal, in most ways mental illness starts from a bad childhood experience or a bad experience in general. The movies that I remember most are The Fisher King, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Prince of Tides, Awakenings, Clockwork Orange, and Leaving Las Vegas. When looking at a list of movies with mental illness, there are so many that a person couldn’t talk about them all, I believe that, The Fisher King would be my favorite.…
