The market was expanding so things could be more expensive. While growing up he didn’t have a lot of money so he couldn’t move into one of the many suburb areas that were being built. What impacted him most was the anxiety the United Stated created during the Cold War. He explained how the media and adults created fear over the war. He said he never felt safe during this time and he never knew when the bombs would come. He explained that everyone made it seem like they were dying and they constantly had drills to duck and cover. This alone could take a toll on anyone’s life. Constantly living in fear over the Soviet Union bombing us had a negative impact on his life. He never really lived freely like kids should because there was always the fear in the
