1. Has your current method of informing the company about ergonomic risk been successful?
In the case study, I believe that the method used to inform management about ergonomic risk was not successful because it did not go far enough to pinpoint the major problems effecting employees at this company. After the Observation of environmental, health and safety related violation that lead to ergonomics risk or injuries, EHS managers should have follow standard by looking at past and current data and injuries reports of the company and come out with a planned solution in a Memo to top management and not personnel managers. This Memo should have detail Compliance method with relevant environmental, health and safety regulations

According to Charles Reese, author of Occupational Health and Safety Management, states that “Ergonomics hazard identification and analysis are processes for pinpointing work-related hazards or MSDs and involve examining the workplace conditions and individual elements or tasks of a job to identify and assess the ergonomic risk factors that are reasonably likely to causing or contributing to the reported MSDs.” (Reese 154, 2009). Once this assessment is conducted it allows management to measure ergonomic risk factors and define if ESH and OSHA measures and policy should be implemented and prioritize employees and workplace safety …show more content…
However, his suggestion can be used to educate management about negative safety culture and what impact it have on the plant.
It is important to understand that my recommendation as an EHS manger will cover OSHA policy and reforming current policy of the company. This recommendation will consider:

• Effective training and education program to be establish for all personnel aimed developing their personal skill and understanding of OSHA and EHS policy that can be applied to and reinforced workplace safety management.
• Ensure the execution and overall efficiency of the plant environmental, health and safety programs
• Ensures Ergonomic assessments to provide data needed aimed at prioritizing workplace improvement and policy implementation. Guiding objective ergonomic assessments to record, report, prevent and ergonomic risk factors and adopt policy of change if control measures should be established.
• Ensure regular participation of employees in daily inspection and monitoring programs and report all unsafe conditions and findings to EHS managers and supervisor and establish hazard communication program as a way to strengthen EHS program at
