Great People Not So Great Parents Once upon a time there was a great young dragon Rider named Eragon. Much of his time traveling spent with Brom shaped him to be who he is, but few people know what happened to his parents. From the age of two to fifteen he lived with his uncle Garrow and his cousin Roran. Eragon spent most of his childhood tending to his uncle’s farm with his cousin an average life living in Carvahall. Which is why he is such a hard worker. They had very little money, which forced Eragon to become an excellent hunter. He is very handy with a bow. Which would help him with his future endeavors, he would hunt in a forest very few people would even enter due to its dangers and “bad reputation” but, he would come out of the forest successfully earning dinner …show more content…
The king had some of the last dragon eggs in the land and Eragon’s father played a big part in stealing one. He has killed very important people to the King and has to spend most of his years hiding from the King’s people. He spent a lot of time at the Varden and gets very close with the elves over time. The elves gave him a ring with the symbol showing all elves that he his trusted by the elves queen. Eragon doesn’t know this, but he is eventually given this ring his father once wore. Something very few know about Eraons father is that he was also a dragon rider. Alas, his dragon was murdered and he was left with great grief. Dragons and Riders are so connected they can communicate through their minds, feel things the other feels, and even see together as one. A loss like that takes a very big toll on him. Eragon and his father are more alike more than he will ever know. His ex-dragon rider father came to Carvahall where Eragon lives and protects him once the Ra’Zac come to kill him once they find out he is a new rider. Galbatrix, the king doesn’t want any riders to live unless they choose to serve him. Together they go on a journey to flee Carvahall only he
