Technology: ‘The application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry’ [http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/technology (21/10/2015)]. Technology as a whole is rapidly increasing in the world and there has been a lot of research into developing equine technologies to assist the horses ‘movement.
In our project we will discuss how Pegasus and Scintigraphy impact, and in our opinion, enhance the performance and the development of training in relation to equine locomotion and biomechanics.
Technology is composed of expensive equipment in diagnostics and finding out more about the horse. Therefore the horses that would undergo these procedures would almost have to be elite athletes with very wealthy owners.

It can find out where the problem is in the horse. Through nuclear scintigraphy this can identify where the bone is already attempting to fix the problem. It gives very detailed results and guides the vet in efficiently treating the lameness. The bone scan can determine sacroiliac disease by examining the pelvis. If the horse has a fractured pelvis there will be a black streak on the image. Owners invest in scintigraphy to protect their investment. If it turns out a horse has a fractured pelvis or kissing spine then it is quite unfortunate, but there are many advantages to nuclear scintigraphy that can assist the performance and judging of a horse. A vet can prepare a more precise rehabilitation plan and the horse can go through a developmental training regime that is specific to its own conformation and physical
