Luna was jolted awake by a loud noise. She got out of her bed curious what the noise could be, hoping it was just a guard, and that no one was hurt or need help.

She went to the door, carefully opening it. In front of her was a mailmare.

Luna stared trying to process what she saw before her. She never got mail. Why was there a mail mare here. When she realized she was staring, she shook herself out of her stupor and relaxed.

“I have a letter for you,” the mare said.

“Thank you.” She grabbed the letter with her magic. “Do you know who sent it.”

“Nope. Some pony gave me this on the street and told me to give it to you; that's all I know. I’m just doing my job.”

“Are you sure you don’t remember anything about the pony who gave you this?”

Through her moons of leadership, she learned to prepare herself for anything. She fought off all sorts monsters, staved off attacking kingdoms, and combatted the darkest magic the world could throw at them. Equestria was a place where one had be ready at any time. What she read she never could have prepared herself for.
