In almost every single occupation women are paid expressively less than men and are all because of inequality which this inequality is presented in countless different ways. One of the ways is a gender-based difference, particularly wage difference, that has affected most of the world. It is a determined problem with the inconsistency of income between women and men. The gender wage gap is unadjusted and is defined as the difference between average earnings of men and women compare to medium earnings of men (OECD, 2017). The unequal pay for women in every occupation is a fundamental part of everyday life which restrict individuals to support themselves and their families. As many knows, females can be impartial as capable and competent as males at any task. However, women and men are not paid the same wages although they carry out the same work or work of equal value. For instance, when men and women work in the same occupation whether as hairdressers, cosmetologists, nurses, teachers, computer engineers, mechanical engineers, or construction workers men make more, on average than women (Schieder & Gould, 2016). This may be the result of so-called ‘direct discrimination’ where women are simply preserved less beneficially than men. Discrimination occurs when employers and co-workers treat women in a certain way since they are women rather than based on individual quality (Corbett & Hill, 2012). Moreover, many times by the supervisors as they make decisions about employment, wage, and promotion with diminutive direction. they are free to offer as much or as little as they like. Employees rarely know if they are paid just because they do not know what their colleagues or others in the industry earn (Corbett & Hill, 2012). According to Rawls justice theory, unequal pay in the job is because of the unequal division of domestic labour that married women do more unpaid work than married men. Further, as result of the unequal division of labour married men have more relaxation time and women are busy as caregivers within families. women do not have enough time to invest their energy into developing marketable skills (McKeen, 2006). In consequence, in workplace women are treated as they are not capable of doing their jobs and they are paid less. Additionally, as primary caregivers, women should choose appropriate jobs which offer flexibility, even where these jobs offer less pay or benefits.
