Stereotype that all Arabs are terrorists can be a reason that other people do not want to employ or serve them.

Stereotype is a popular opinion about some group of people.
One of the most common stereotypes is that blondes are dumb. Based on this stereotype a large number of anecdotes and various stories are created.
Next stereotype which comes to mind is that black people are less hygienic.

Prejudice – to have your opinion ready before you know all the facts about something or somebody.
Discrimination – categorized in direct and indirect discrimination. Means treating somebody with less respect because of race, age, gender, religion, sexual orientation.
17. Explain how people may develop prejudices.
Example of how people may develop prejudices:
One of the reasons can be insecurity – you have a very smart class mate and you feel uncomfortable about it, so you point out, that he/she only studies. Smart people do not have social life.
People think, that girls with blonde hair are stupid, because mass media made them think like that.
