In order to effectively share my point of view on diversity and inclusion in the advertising industry, I must define what these two words are. Diversity means having a range of different thing while inclusion is the act of including. Conversely, I believe that diversity and inclusion in the advertising industry have become nothing but a misunderstood jargon. Many agencies or agency representatives are getting involved in the "lack of diversity and inclusion in the advertising industry" conversation but do they really understand the matter at hand? Being involved in these conversations, agencies feel forced to take a stride to combat the issue without taking the appropriate reason as to why they need to remedy the lack of diversity and inclusion
