No individuality just follows the rules and controls
Today, people live their lives however they want to, but how about living in a society where everyone is completely equal with no sense individuality? In Anthem, the council decides what is best for the city. The rules are here to maintain the citizens and keep them to be fair as possible. But Equality 7-2521 will change everything about that because he’s tired of living in a society where it controls his life style. Numerous rules and controls leads to having less say in anything one does or believes in.
One cannot think words, if others don’t neither because it’s a sin. Making the people limit to the thoughts going on in their own heads. Everyone must be equal because it is unfair to be different (Rand 17). Equality 7-2521 stands out from his brothers because of the choices he makes and his appearance. He points out, “We were born with a curse. It has always driven us to thoughts which are forbidden” (Rand 18). This shows how one differences can lead into breaking a law even if it was not attempt to. Making this one of controls that has on equality life and affecting his decisions.
