There are no men but only the great WE, One, indivisible and forever."(Rand 19) Equality 7-2521 has been born and raised in this society where there is only the magnificent “WE”. In this society, even the word “I” has made its way to vanish from the states. Equality knows that even though that “WE” means all his fellow brethren it is not all men that make one creation. It is one mind one person that makes it happen. Even though his fellow brethren may help with the creation it is not “WE” that did it it is “I”. (Rand 75) He mentions giving this box to the scholars,”Fear nothing, our brothers. There is great power in these wires, but this power is tamed. It is ours we give it to you.”(Rand 70) Equality shows how courageous he is to even just try to give this to them. Except his other brethren are rude and evil and speak nonsense of his own electricity box. Equality 7-2521 has the courage to run into the uncharted forest without even thinking. Throughout chapters three and four, Equality 7-2521 makes discoveries not only in the sense of innovation, but also through connections made about the world around him. For example, in chapter three Equality 7-2521 discovers the light bulb and the concept of electricity that were left behind from the Unmentionable Times. During this event, Equality 7-2521 also has the revelation that he is alone in this knowledge, which gives him both power and fear. Another example of discovery from Equality 7-2521 occurs in chapter four, when he is speaking with the Golden One and finds out that she has given him a name inside her head as well.…

Equality 7-2521's anthem is his strong personality, and individualism, much like: And, you know, being able to wear the Stars and Stripes, when you step up on one of the blocks or, you know, when you step off an airplane or when you hear the national anthem play, you know, it's one of the greatest feelings in the world because you know that they are home supporting you and watching you…

This has never been done before, but neither has a gift such as ours ever been offered to men” (Rand 61). This quote is saying that Equality wants to give his box to the Council despite knowing that nobody has ever done something like this before. Since Equality worked on his invention alone, it’s also shown that he is scared to be caught making it on his own. Plus, he committed transgressions like stealing from other homes to work on…
