Like when in To Kill a Mockingbird Tom was helping Mayella but was told different to the public buy Mayella When she said “No I do not recollect if he hit me. I mean yes I do,he hit me”(Lee, 248). In this quote Mayella telling her side of the story to the judge but, is not very clear and is very easy to tell that she is not telling the full truth. In that note, this quote describes how mean people can be to even to the people that should be respected most, like Tom Robinson for helping a women in need. thirdly, in the book Night, Ellie’s dad walks to the main office and finds that “ The news is terrible… Transports”(Wiesel 13). This is when the news of the transportation of all jewish people, including the government leaders, is beginning. This quote also, is not kind to jews and their equal rights at all because, First, the jews and their powerful leaders have no idea of what is going to happen, and secondly, what happens to them is gruesome, tragic and inhuman. All in all, nobody deserves to be treated like that especially to the people who have great …show more content…
An example is when Atticus stated“Tom was dead man the minute Mayella opened her mouth and screamed”(lee 323).” This is describing the death of Tom for just assisting a lady but eventually being accused for rape and later killed for something he did not do and never diserved. This isn’t supposed to be okay because Tom never did this in the first place, he was dark which made him a lesser person, because of him knowing that there was no way out and later tried to escape the prison when shot 17 times. Another example of intolerance is when the jews from the book night are being thrown into the crematorium and a man shouted “You will be Burned… Burned to a cinder(wiesel 31)”. This is when all the jews just got off the train and we being inspected to either be burned/killed or transferred again. This part of the book is one of the most inhumane things in the book and is most definitely unfair to the jews just for believing in what they do. Many people have died or been hurt many times even today which is im need of a end.
Many society have said to guarantee equal rights to everyone although some people have been unable to get to gain them because to their race and or religion. Many people still need some help today because of others being disrespectful to their equal rights. Im order to help this problem people can

Merriam Webster defines equality as the quality or state of having the same rights, social status, etc., but who is included in this “equality,” and can the U.S. really have equality among its people? Johnathon Dunn defines equality as not being the same, but being treated equally no matter your race, social status, or sexuality. Everyone should have the same rights available to him or her. Several works of literature have struggled to define equality over the years including “Harrison Bergeron” and the 14th amendment. These two pieces of literature have their similarities as well as their differences, but, by assessing these, I will be able to side with one of these viewpoints.…

Power is used in many different ways through TKMB; many people use their power in a positive way like Atticus unlike others who abuses their power like Bob Ewell. Bob Ewell uses his power in a negative way when he blames the rape of his daughter Mayella on Tom Robison knowing that Tom would be convicted guilty because he is black. In The Help power is shown in mostly negative ways with the white people treating their maids with disrespect. This is shown when Milly fires her maid Minny for using the home toilet instead of the one made outside and when Aibileen gets accused and fired for stealing silver cutlery. Through TKMB and also The Help are constantly shown the innocent being taken advantage of from those with more…

Life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness are seen as the most important rights in America. The right to say that your life is your own, no one else’s, the right to be free and not controlled by authority or the government, and the right to be happy. The issue of equal rights is serious and is one that has expanded throughout the United States over time. Equality applies to women gaining the same rights as men in such areas as equal pay, the ability to vote, and equal employment opportunities. In 1776, Abigail Adams, the first lady at the time, wrote to her husband John, "In the new code of laws, remember the ladies and do not put such unlimited power into the hands of the husbands.” (Eis,1998) Abigail felt strongly that women should be regarded with the same respect and importance as men and should have the same power and rights as well.…

“A riot is the language of the unheard”. This powerful statement was said by the late Martin Luther King Jr., and with the amount of inequality that has been seen in all areas of life (gender, racial, etc.) paired with the lack of response, it is easy to see how upping one’s protesting tactics to a level of aggressiveness can be beneficial for a movement. However, when one tends to perform nonviolent acts of noncooperation, and gather the attention of many for their movement peacefully, they tend to generate more support: therefore, it is increasingly favorable for a movement to exercise diplomacy rather than aggression. To start things off, equality is a characteristic that should be woven throughout every aspect of our lives without question.…

One way in which the Jews were dehumanized by being treated inhumanly is when the Nazis burned fully conscience people. At Auschwitz, there are crematories with “flames [and] in the air [the] smell of burning flesh” (26). The only things that are supposed to be thrown into crematories are dead people or animals which is out of respect for them. Not as cruelty, but as a last wish. However, it is an unjust crime of the Nazis to throw living people into burning fire; to feel unimaginable pain until their inevitable death.…
