Pay equity means eliminating sex and race discrimination in the wage-setting system. The existence of the gender wage gap in the American workplace is a distinctly debated issue in today’s society. There should not be an employer who bases their paying wage off of gender, but establish equal work on jobs requiring performance of skilled assets to create equal earnings. More so, a women’s education must add professionalism to their resume instead, to create more opportunities. The Paycheck Fairness Act will help secure equal pay for equal work for all Americans while authorizing reasonable comparisons between employees within clearly clarified geographical areas to decide fair wages. The Democratic Party is generally in favor of women deserving equal pay, which is ensuring full equality for women. Democrats ensure the results of women who are determined to fight against the societal expectations: "When there are no barriers to entering the workforce on ceilings on advancement, the sky’s the limit for American Women” (“Women”). While they're many obstacles that hinder women in society those who seem to prevail through them are successful. Even though women are blind to the unfair judgement placed upon them, seeking justice for pay equality will put them closer to receiving justice. Hillary believes that “Here’s the bottom line. All people — men and women — should be able to dream big dreams and then follow them wherever they lead” (“Equal pay for women”). Being a women also pressures her to fight for the equality of women's salary being equivalent to a man's salary.
