Equal Pay For Women

Equal pay is a growing problem in the USA. Shriver Report released a report in 2014 that states for ever $0.77 a women receives, a man gets 1$. For women, it is very concerning when they don’t have enough money to make a comfortable living like some single mothers. As a matter of fact, if we were to pay women the same as men, poverty for single mothers would fall by a third or more. If we continue this pattern by not paying women the same as men, women won’t see equal pay for 117 years. Therefore, I choose to stand with equal pay for both genders in hopes that females who are paid less than men will be able to support a family and themselves without having to depend on a male.
