With a little help and advice from producer George Martin, the band replaced the drummer, Pete Best with Ringo Starr. This decision was made because Martin didn’t like how the band looked with Best. Martin thought that Best wasn’t right for the band and wasn’t the best at keeping a steady beat. Ringo was the drummer of another popular band called Rory Storm and The Hurricanes.
