Epilogue Of The Giver

For the first time, he heard something that he knew to be music. He heard people singing. He saw lights glowing inside and outside of the dwelling. Jonas saw somebody put on a coat and a hat and walk outside. The tall man walked towards Jonas and Gabe with a worried look. He picked up Gabe without hesitation and said to Jonas “Why were you gone so long Jonas, you said you were gonna play with Gabe outside for a few minutes.” Jonas looked at him confused. “How do you know my name?” Jonas asked the strange tall man. The man chuckled with Gabe tucked between his arms. “Jonas, I’m your father. Your family is waiting inside for you two.”
Jonas looked at him weird. Jonas did not have a family outside of the community. The only family he has ever had he left inside the community. “Jonas, your mother is worried sick about you.
